On February 17, Alius Antulis, Managing Director of Carlsberg Azerbaijan, gave an interview to Report Information Agency. During the interview, the MD spoke about the company's performance in 2024 and plans for 2025.

Alius Antulis, Managing Director of Carlsberg Azerbaijan: "2024 was successful for us: the company increased its sales volume by 3%, particularly in the premium segment and thanks to new product launches. One of the most important product releases was the launch of the first locally produced 0.0% alcohol product, Xirdalan 0.0, and Xirdalan Premium Draft, which quickly gained popularity, increasing brand sales by 20% compared to the previous year. Localization of production remains as a priority for us. We are already using local barley, and in 2023 we began construction of the South Caucasus's first Malthouse in Imishli, which will begin operations in 2025. This will allow us to fully transition to beer production using only locally produced malt. 

Investments in modernizing production lines continued, and we completed the investment plan of 25 million manats for 2021-2025 ahead of schedule, which increased the efficiency and environmental sustainability of production. 

Our exports grew by 255%, and in 2025, we will continue to expand our supply geography. Next year, our main focus will be on the development of alcohol-free products and the premium segment, as well as improving energy efficiency and sustainability activities. We will also strengthen the position of Xirdalan brand and expand our product range. Paying attention to global trends, strategic initiatives like the growing demand for alcohol-free and craft beer will help us continue our successful development in the market and maintain our leadership position."
